Voter Registration

For the Upcoming Primary Election

to be held on August 19, 2008

Voter Registration for the Lincoln County School District #1

Special bond election on May 6, 2008 has officially closed.

For any questions, please contact the Lincoln County Clerk's Office.

 

Up until July 21, 2008, you can register at the following locations: Lincoln County Courthouse in Kemmerer, LaBarge Town Hall, Cokeville Town Hall, Afton Branch Office, Thayne Town Hall, Star Valley Ranch Town Hall, and the Alpine Town Hall.

After July 21, 2008, open voter registration will then be closed. In order to vote in the Primary Election you have 2 options:

 

  • Option 1:  Register to vote and request an absentee ballot.
    • If you are already registered to vote, simply fill out the Request For Wyoming Absentee Ballot (See below). To ensure no complications, please verify with the Lincoln County Clerks Office that you are registered before sending in your Request for Wyoming Absentee Ballot Form.
  • Option 2Register at your polling place on Election Day.

 

For Option 1 you must do the following: 

             

              You can download the VOTER REGISTRATION FORM (Requires Adobe Reader, see link below) from this website and fill it out.  Your signature must be signed in the presence of a Notary Public, and you must send a copy of your driver’s license when you mail back the card.

 

              You must download the REQUEST FOR WYOMING ABSENTEE BALLOT (Requires Adobe Reader, see link below) form from this website, fill out the form and return it with the Voter Registration Card and copy of your driver’s license to the following address: County Clerk, 925 Sage Avenue Suite 101, Kemmerer, WY  83101.  It is advisable that you provide a phone number to contact you in case there are problems with the forms when we receive them.  Time is of the essence, as the absentee ballot must be returned to this office no later than 7:00 p.m. on August 19, 2008 in order to be counted.

We need the copy of your driver’s license for ID purposes.  If you do not have a driver’s license, please contact the County Clerk’s Office at 307-877-9056 EXT. 2020 or 2021 and we can give you other ID options. 

For Option 2 you must do the following:

              Go to your POLLING PLACE on the day of the election.  You can register at the polls, but you must provide identification (driver’s license) to the election judge.  If you do not have a driver’s license, contact us at the phone number above for other options.
